From visiting the Bowie exhibition, I was strongly influenced by how Bowie portrayed his personality though his costumes/outfits. From this, I have decided to create a question to focus on for my A2 Textiles:
What methods are used in fashion and costume to portray personality, individuality and roles?
From focusing on this question, I am able to explore techniques used on garments that are important to a certain person or job/role. I can study social groups such as hippies, goths and punks or uniforms that have purposes. I could also look at disguises and how people use them to show a different personality to their own.
